Australia

The World Happiness Report 2022 reveals that Australia is ranked 12th among all countries for its average life evaluation, making it one of the most content nations in the world. With its high quality of living, economic stability, and strong social support systems, Australia is a great place to call home. Whether you’re looking for the perfect study destination or the perfect place to settle down, Australia is the place to be.

World Class Vocational Education

Achieving an Australian Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualification is an efficient and cost-effective pathway to employment, providing practical learning experiences to quickly get you work-ready. Not only does it help you gain the skills employers are looking for, but it can also provide a pathway to further studies, including higher education degrees. The VET sector is a result of collaboration between government and industry, with curriculum development guided by industry experts to ensure you have the latest industry knowledge and skills. Governments at both the federal and state level provide funding for VET and ensure the sector is of the highest quality. VET qualifications are offered by government institutions, called Technical and Further Education (TAFE) institutions, as well as private Registered Training Organizations (RTOs).

Consumer Protection

Australia has one of the most secure and effective international student protection arrangements in the world. The Education Services for Overseas (ESOS) Act outlines comprehensive consumer protection provisions to ensure international students enrolled in courses in Australia receive the best quality education experience. This includes the Tuition Protection Service which will help you find a suitable alternative course or secure a refund in the unlikely event that your education provider is unable to deliver the course you have enrolled in. The ESOS framework also ensures the interests of international students by setting out stringent standards, roles and responsibilities for education institutions that teach overseas students. In addition, Australia has an Overseas Students Ombudsman to investigate any external complaints from international students attending private education institutions, ensuring a fair and transparent resolution process.

Employment Opportunities

As an international student studying in Australia, you can legally work up to 40 hours per fortnight unless you are enrolled in a Masters by Research or Doctorate program. In this case, you are allowed to work an unlimited number of hours, provided you are meeting your course requirements.

After graduating, international students may choose to take advantage of the generous post-study work rights offered in Australia and gain valuable work experience. With up to five hundred diverse occupations open to graduates, Australia is one of the most attractive destinations for international students seeking to gain valuable work experience. Whether you choose to stay in Australia and explore the many opportunities or return home, the post-study work rights available to international students make Australia an ideal choice. The Temporary Graduate visa (Subclass 485) is a widely-used choice for international students who have finished their studies. This visa comprises two streams – the Graduate Work Stream and the Post-Study Work Stream.

Culture in Australia

Australia is a country known for its diverse community, making it an ideal study destination for many students who want to feel accepted no matter their background or ethnicity. With its welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, Australia is sure to embrace every student with open arms, providing a warm and friendly environment for all.

Australia’s vibrant arts and culture scene is brimming with fascinating attractions and activities that cater to any kind of creative type. From metropolitan cities to small towns, you will find museums, art galleries, theatres, entertainment venues, and creative spaces that abound with diverse works and performances. While Sydney and Melbourne are renowned for their arts and culture, other cities in Australia have plenty to offer as well; students will find many state and independent venues showcasing art, history, music, comedy, dance, acting, writing, and more.
